Alison Nguyen (b. 1986) is New York-based artist working primarily in film, video, and photography. She graduated from Brown University in 2009 with a B.A. in Literary Arts. Her work expanded into visual form while studying simultaneously at the Rhode Island School of Design. Nguyen’s work has been screened and exhibited at venues such as The Whitney (in collaboration with expanded cinema group Optipus), Palace Film Festival, the Manhattan Independent Film Festival, Kilroy Metal Ceiling, and Brown University. Nguyen has received awards and residencies from Signal Culture, Vermont Studio Center, Flux Factory, The Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, NM Poetics, Mensa, and Brown University.
